Waterproof Heat Shrink Tube Data Cable Repair
Heat shrink tubing, fully known as heat shrink sleeve, is a tubular product made from polymer materials through special processes. Its core feature is 'heat shrinkage': when heated to its initial shrink temperature, the tube shrinks uniformly in the radial direction and to a certain extent along the axial direction, tightly wrapping around the object, thereby providing insulation, sealing, protection, identification, bundling, and stress relief.
Its main uses are electrical insulation and voltage resistance, offering excellent electrical insulation performance to prevent short circuits and leakage. It also provides mechanical and environmental protection, with characteristics such as wear resistance, scratch resistance, corrosion resistance, moisture resistance, dust resistance, and salt spray resistance. Additionally, it can seal and protect against corrosion by fully covering the protected item, forming a barrier against moisture, chemicals, and air. It also offers cushioning at stress concentration points such as cable joints and solder points, preventing bending and breakage. For bundling and cable management, it helps organize multiple cables neatly and securely. Specific applications include the electronics and electrical industry, automotive industry, aerospace, power and energy sectors, telecommunications industry, household appliances, as well as DIY and repair work.
Based on wall thickness, it is divided into single-wall tubing and dual-wall tubing (with adhesive). Single-wall tubing is standard, providing basic insulation and protection. Dual-wall tubing (with adhesive) has a heat-melt adhesive coating on the inner wall, which melts upon heating to achieve complete waterproof sealing and strong adhesion, offering enhanced corrosion resistance.
