PEX Clamp Stainless Steel Crimp Ring
PEX clamp stainless steel crimp rings are permanent mechanical fasteners used to connect cross-linked polyethylene (PEX) pipes with brass or polyoxymethylene (POM) fittings (such as tees, elbows, straight connectors, etc.). Their primary purpose is to create strong, leak-proof pipe connections. By crimping with a tool, the stainless steel ring permanently deforms, tightly securing the PEX pipe onto the barbs of the fitting, forming a high-strength seal. They serve as a replacement for traditional clamps or press-fit connections, providing more uniform clamping force and higher reliability, making them one of the most mainstream connection methods in modern PEX piping systems.
The main applications include residential and commercial buildings, municipal and public facilities, industrial applications, and maintenance and renovation projects. The material used is AISI 300 series stainless steel, most commonly 304 (or A2) stainless steel, which offers excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical strength. Key features include rust and corrosion resistance, ensuring long-term use in wet environments without rusting, preventing water contamination, and providing durable, reliable clamping force to prevent joint loosening due to system pressure. They also have good ductility, allowing uniform plastic deformation under the action of crimping tools without cracking.
The product features and advantages are as follows: First, high reliability, with permanent mechanical connections that resist vibration and pressure shocks, with a service life that matches the piping system. Second, quick installation, allowing a skilled operator to complete a connection in just tens of seconds, greatly improving construction efficiency. Third, no need for heat or open flame, enabling cold installation, which is safer and poses no fire risk, without affecting other construction processes. Fourth, connection quality can be quickly and objectively verified using the crimped marks and go/no-go gauges. Fifth, for maintenance, simply cut off the crimped joint and reconnect using new fittings and crimp rings. Sixth, system compatibility, forming an optimized overall system design with PEX pipes and matched fittings.
